Engineering Manager (Fintech)

Engineering Manager (Fintech): Leading 1-2 product squads of engineers to deliver high-impact investing tools with an accent on technical delivery and people growth. Focus on guiding architecture, hiring top talent, and ensuring system reliability and scalability.

Location: Based in Europe, within 2 hours of Paris time zone (CET/CEST); must be able to attend onsite weeks in Paris every 6 weeks

Salary: €100,000 – €130,000

What you will do

• Drive squad roadmaps from planning to production, prioritizing ruthlessly and removing blockers.
• Mentor engineers through effective 1:1s, direct feedback, and career path development.
• Guide technical design reviews, challenge assumptions, and ensure scalable system architecture.
• Source, interview, and hire top-tier engineering talent to raise the team bar.
• Own observability and reliability for your domain and drive meaningful postmortems.
• Collaborate with Product and Design to translate business goals into shipped software.

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience leading engineering teams, including hiring and coaching.
• Strong hands-on technical background in building production systems.
• Experience with cloud infrastructure, distributed systems, and observability tools.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with weekly shipping cycles.
• Location: Based in Europe (CET/CEST +/- 2h).
• English: Fluent (written and spoken).

• Experience scaling teams from startup to scale-up during hypergrowth.
• Background in Fintech or other regulated industries.
