TL;DR

Manager, Software Engineering (Fintech): Lead a team of full stack developers and quality engineers to deliver a scalable banking platform with an accent on JavaScript (Ember.js, Vue.js, Node.js), Python, and GoLang. Focus on mentoring engineers, driving agile processes, reviewing architecture and code, and overseeing CI/CD pipelines and system monitoring.

Location: Austin, TX (Hybrid). Must be authorized to work in the U.S.; no visa sponsorship.

What you will do

  • Mentor and coach engineers through 1:1s, feedback, and career development.
  • Collaborate with Product, Design, and Engineering teams on priorities and deliverables.
  • Review architecture and code for quality, scalability, and performance.
  • Drive agile ceremonies like sprint planning, retrospectives, and backlog grooming.
  • Monitor system health, metrics, and identify improvements.
  • Champion innovation, experimentation, and process improvements.
  • Contribute to hiring and onboarding to build high-performing teams.

Requirements

  • Fluent written and oral English communication.
  • Authorized to work in the U.S.; no visa sponsorship.
  • Bachelor’s degree and 6+ years related experience (or advanced degree + 4+ years).
  • 3-5 years as contributor in scrum team; 1-2 years project management.
  • Agile delivery experience; large data near real-time environment.
  • Strong leadership in growing and mentoring teams; enterprise software deployment.
  • Experience with payment systems.
