Youth School Success Specialist (Education)

Location: Required to be on-site Monday to Friday in New York, NY

What you will do

• Conduct outreach to families and coordinate the distribution and translation of materials.
• Perform behavioral observations and develop tailored support plans for students exhibiting high needs.
• Coordinate school enrollment, registration for meals, placement testing, and after-school programs.
• Plan and lead Social Emotional Learning (SEL) lessons and affinity groups for small groups of students.
• Refer youth and families to community-based services, including mental health counseling.
• Maintain comprehensive case notes and update individual service plans.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in social work, psychology, education, or a related field.
• Minimum of one year experience working with youth, preferably English language learners.
• Fluency in English is required.
• Fluency in one of the following is required: Spanish (highly preferred), Ukrainian, Russian, Dari, Pashto, or French.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Ability to pass background checks and submit an annual physical form.
