Location: 100% remote, must be a resident of Ohio or live within 25 miles of Ohio

Salary: $27.27 – $30.00 per hour (Approx. $56,000 – $62,000 per year)

What you will do

• Collaborate with parents and students to create individualized academic plans, reviewing credit requirements and transfers.
• Act as a primary liaison for academic communication between teachers, parents, and students.
• Monitor student academic performance and partner with parents to ensure graduation requirements are met.
• Provide guidance on post-secondary pathways, including college, trade school, and military options.
• Facilitate documentation and reviews for Cognia and NCAA accreditation.
• Implement non-clinical crisis response plans and support student wellness efforts.

Requirements

• Master's degree or higher in a related field with a certification in school counseling.
• 3+ years of experience in an academic counseling role at the middle or high school level.
• Professional experience supporting secondary education students within the last 5 years.
• Must be a resident of Ohio or reside within 25 miles of Ohio.
• Proficiency with Google Workspace and the ability to learn new gradebooks and curriculum platforms.
• Willingness to serve as a mandated reporter for student safety and mental health concerns.

Nice to have

• Experience with classroom or online teaching.
• Certification in mental health counseling for schools.
• Experience in content creation, assessment design, or administration.
• Ability to attend occasional in-person field trips and activities in Ohio.
