What you will do

• Direct a team developing software within a distributed software platform.
• Coach and develop the engineering team to drive accountability and change.
• Collaborate with Product Owners to translate business needs into technical requirements and roadmaps.
• Manage dependencies and facilitate collaboration across cross-disciplinary projects involving hardware, mechanical, and software groups.
• Liaise with customers regarding critical project deliverables and technical issues.
• Drive software engineering best practices in alignment with overall company strategy.

Requirements

• Location: Must be based in North Reading, MA, US
• 5+ years of experience managing software development teams with a focus on application development.
• 5+ years of experience building large-scale, mission-critical, high-availability production systems.
• Proficiency in Linux and associated technologies, with good knowledge of Windows development.
• Strong working knowledge of at least two languages: C, C++, C#, Python, or Java.
• Proven experience in systems design for multi-site test equipment with mechanical and electrical components.

Nice to have

• MS in Computer Science or Engineering.
• Ability to read schematics and data sheets for components.
