What you will do

  • Design and deliver high-quality, cloud-native serverless applications on AWS, ensuring security and scalability.
  • Own the end-to-end delivery of features and systems to improve customer and business outcomes.
  • Identify and resolve technical debt while applying clean code and sound architectural principles.
  • Lead high-quality code reviews and define test strategies for resilience, accessibility, and security.
  • Mentor and coach engineers to foster a culture of technical excellence and knowledge sharing.
  • Collaborate with non-technical stakeholders to influence team culture and technical direction.

Requirements

  • Strong expertise in clean architecture, design patterns, and distributed microservices.
  • Proven experience with AWS serverless technologies (Lambda, API Gateway, ECS, CloudFormation).
  • Deep practical experience with MongoDB, including schema design and advanced aggregation pipelines.
  • Extensive experience with TDD, automated testing, CI/CD pipelines, and containerization.
  • Security-first mindset with real-world experience in threat modelling and API security.
  • Must be based in or able to work onsite in London.
