What you will do

• Design and develop high-performance services using Go.
• Build and optimize large-scale financial calculation engines.
• Architect systems for scalability, reliability, and low latency.
• Process and reconcile high volumes of capital, positions, and holdings.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate backend services with the frontend.
• Contribute to system design, performance tuning, and infrastructure decisions.

Requirements

• Strong commercial experience with Go (Golang).
• Proven experience working within a high-data environment (e.g., fintech).
• Experience building scalable backend systems.
• Strong understanding of data processing, performance optimization, and system design.
• Experience designing and working with APIs.
• Must be able to work from the Cardiff office 3 days per week.

Nice to have

• Experience in financial systems or portfolio management platforms.
• Familiarity with microservices architecture and Go concurrency patterns.
• Knowledge of cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP).
• Ability to leverage AI tools to improve development workflows.
