What you will do

• Take ownership of core initiatives and ensure cross-functional alignment to deliver high-impact features.
• Partner with Product teams to drive quarterly goals and contribute to roadmap planning.
• Mentor and guide engineers, fostering a psychologically safe and collaborative team culture.
• Lead technical discussions and resolve delivery dependencies to ensure smooth execution.
• Design and build platform architecture, data integrations, and automations for Low Carbon Tech services.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in robust backend development.
• Deep expertise in systems design, database optimization (PostgreSQL/MySQL), and cloud execution.
• Proven leadership potential and a sincere enthusiasm for mentoring others.
• Ability to communicate complex technical constraints and architectural risks to non-technical stakeholders.
• Must be based in or have the legal right to work in the UK.
