What you will do

• Own day-to-day IT operations including identity (SSO/MFA), device lifecycle (MDM), and endpoint security.
• Implement baseline security controls, lead incident response, and prepare the company for security audits.
• Manage critical vendor relationships (Okta, MDM, Cloud providers) and drive cost optimization.
• Collaborate with engineering teams on cloud identity, network segmentation, and secure access patterns.
• Establish IT policies, governance, and measurable KPIs such as ticket response times and patch compliance.
• Communicate technical risks, status reports, and IT roadmaps to the executive team.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in IT roles, with 3+ years leading IT teams or owning IT for a scaling company.
• Proven track record at Series-B or similarly fast-growing startups.
• Hands-on experience with SSO/IdP (Okta), MDM (Jamf, Intune, Kandji), and endpoint security/EDR.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and networking fundamentals.
• Strong vendor management and contract negotiation skills.
• Must be based in or able to work on-site in Elizabeth, NJ.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with compliance frameworks such as SOC 2 or ISO 27001.
• Experience managing outsourced IT partners and contractors.
• Experience with Notion or Atlassian service management tools.
