Senior Product Designer

TL;DR

Senior Product Designer: Lead the design of high-quality, user-centered software products for Earth sciences applications with an accent on user research, interaction design, visual design, and AI-enabled experiences. Focus on planning wireframes, prototypes, user evaluations, and collaborating with Product Managers and Engineers to shape product direction from discovery to delivery.

Location: Office-based or Hybrid from our Toronto, ON, Canada office. Global position requiring flexibility for meetings outside of standard local working hours.

What you will do

• Cultivate deep understanding of customer needs and user behavior through research.
• Partner with Product Managers and Engineers to develop personas, behavior models, and actionable insights.
• Plan and drive UX design activities including wireframes, mock-ups, flows, and prototypes using Figma.
• Manage user experience evaluations of products and systems.
• Design AI-enabled product experiences that are useful, usable, and trustworthy.
• Communicate design rationale using evidence from research, usage data, and feedback.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Product Design or related field.
• 7+ years relevant experience in Product Design at a commercial software company.
• Strong experience partnering with Product Management and Engineering.
• Expertise in user research, interaction design, visual design, and UX evaluation.
• Strong communication and influence across cross-functional teams.
• Experience with AI-enabled products or readiness to work in this space.
• Self-starter with high accountability and judgment.
