What you will do

• Own the creative vision for model experience, establishing a design language for personality, tone, and interaction across all surfaces.
• Personally produce high-quality IC output, including model personality specifications and interaction prototypes.
• Collaborate with researchers to define the model's character and translate abstract goals into SFT data strategies and quality rubrics.
• Drive UX design for MM Labs, Playground, and other model specification tools.
• Manage and coach a small team of 4-5 model and UX designers, running rigorous critiques and raising the quality bar.
• Develop evaluation systems and feedback loops to define and measure design quality for AI responses.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Product Design, HCI, Linguistics, or related field.
• 8+ years of experience in product design or a related creative discipline (or 6+ years with a Master's).
• 2+ years of experience managing or mentoring designers in a player-coach capacity.
• Proven track record of designing for AI, LLM, or conversational systems.
• Strong portfolio demonstrating exceptional craft in interaction and visual design.
• Must be based in Redmond, United States.
