TL;DR

Head of Design (AI): Leading and executing product design across Red Cell and its portfolio companies with an accent on creating scalable design systems and intuitive user experiences for emerging modalities. Focus on translating ambiguous problem spaces into actionable product direction and designing high-fidelity prototypes for web, mobile, and AI agents.

Location: Remote (Must be based in the US)

Salary: $200,000–$250,000 plus bonus

What you will do

• Partner with founders and leadership to translate ambiguous problems into clear product design direction.
• Build early concepts and future-state prototypes to test ideas and inform strategy.
• Own the User Experience for web, mobile, agents, wearables, and other emerging modalities.
• Design and ship high-quality products, from initial concepts to high-fidelity visuals and brand systems.
• Establish lightweight frameworks, standards, and patterns to enable speed and scalability.
• Support the Marketing and Brand team with web development efforts for digital presence.

Requirements

• 12+ years of experience in product, UX, and front-end design, including leadership roles in high-growth startups.
• Strong understanding of AI fundamentals and their application in product experiences.
• Knowledge of front-end languages including HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
• Expertise in Figma, including component libraries, auto-layout, and design tokens.
• Deep understanding of responsive, mobile-first design and systems thinking.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Design, HCI, or a related field.
