IT Support Specialist (macOS)

Location: Remote, based in Mexico City

What you will do

• Manage the macOS fleet through Kandji MDM, including deployments, policies, and a custom OpenVPN setup.
• Manage onboarding, offboarding, SSO, permissions, and other identity and access processes.
• Handle Slack- and Jira-based IT requests, triage issues, and resolve support cases.
• Collaborate with the SRE team on infrastructure awareness and escalations.
• Create and maintain runbooks, process documentation, and internal guides.
• Support Windows and Linux users and automate recurring IT requests to reduce manual work.

Requirements

• Solid macOS administration experience.
• Comfort using the terminal and reading system logs.
• Experience with MDM tools such as Kandji, Jamf, or similar.
• Knowledge of identity and access management, including Okta, Google Workspace, and SSO basics.
• Ability to prioritize independently, work through ambiguity, and investigate recurring issues.
• Strong documentation skills for runbooks, notes, and technical decisions.

Nice to have

• Experience with AI-assisted development tools such as Claude Code or Copilot.
• Basic Docker or container experience.
• Networking fundamentals, including VLANs, firewalls, switches, and VPN concepts.
• Experience with monitoring, alerting, AWS or other cloud platforms, Slack bots, webhooks, scripting, or internal tooling.
