Highways Electrician

Location: Sleaford, United Kingdom, with occasional regional travel to support the wider team.

Salary: £40,208 per year plus company benefits.

What you will do

• Install and connect street lighting and highway electrical street furniture.
• Perform routine and non-routine maintenance, testing, inspection, and electrical fault finding.
• Supervise multiple team members and attend call-outs when required.
• Operate and maintain company vehicles, tools, and equipment.
• Progress to additional authorised duties, including LV mains jointing.
• Follow health, safety, environmental, quality, PPE, and risk-assessment requirements.

Requirements

• Recognised electrical apprenticeship or training programme.
• City & Guilds 236 Parts 1 and 2 or 2330 Levels 2 and 3.
• 18th Edition BS7671 wiring regulations qualification.
• Current driving licence and qualification to drive specialist vehicles as required.
• Manual dexterity and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• Confident and diplomatic customer communication.

Nice to have

• Current NRSWA accreditation.
• Full G39 qualification.
• CSCS accreditation through the Highways Electrical Registration Scheme.
• Experience with highways lighting and distribution networks.
