Electrical Service Technician (Wind Turbines)

Location: Skye, United Kingdom; onsite. The role includes domestic and international travel, working away from home when required, and weekend on-call coverage on a rota basis.

What you will do

• Perform scheduled and unscheduled servicing, maintenance, inspections, and repairs on hirify.global wind turbines.
• Diagnose and resolve faults across electrical, electronic, mechanical, and hydraulic systems, with accurate reporting and documentation.
• Complete electrical maintenance, installations, retrofits, component replacements, and supporting mechanical repairs.
• Conduct turbine inspections, risk assessments, emergency call-outs, and proactive fault identification.
• Maintain service records, tools, vehicle stock, equipment, spare parts, and materials according to company procedures.
• Once trained and authorised, perform high-voltage switching and support other service teams and locations.

Requirements

• Minimum Level 3 NVQ/SVQ qualification in Electrical or Engineering.
• Time-served apprenticeship and strong electrical, mechanical, troubleshooting, and IT skills.
• Physically fit and able to pass a Working at Heights Medical, including the Chester Step Test.
• Full, clean Category B driving licence and valid Safe Pass Card.
• Strong communication, organisation, problem-solving, initiative, and teamwork skills.
• Willingness to travel nationwide and abroad, including for training and workshops, and to work weekend on-call shifts.
