EC&I Design Engineer

What you will do

• Provide technical expertise on electrical, control, and instrumentation systems to support infrastructure design teams.
• Develop, review, and interpret single-line diagrams, cable diagrams, loop diagrams, hook-up drawings, equipment layouts, and general arrangement drawings.
• Perform electrical design calculations, including cable sizing, fault levels, and lighting calculations using AMTECH ProDesign and DIALux.
• Carry out instrumentation design calculations, system assessments, technical research, site surveys, and engineering assessments.
• Prepare and maintain electrical and instrumentation design dossiers and technical documentation packages.
• Participate in design reviews, HAZOP studies, risk assessments, quality assurance, and project risk management.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in a relevant engineering or design role.
• IET BS 7671 18th Edition qualification and professional registration as IEng or CEng, or active progress toward registration.
• Experience with AutoCAD, MicroStation, EPLAN, AMTECH ProDesign, DIALux, and Microsoft Office.
• Knowledge of industry standards, regulations, risk management, and ISO 9001 quality systems.
• Full UK driving licence where required.
