What you will do

• Drive adoption of cloud technology for data processing and warehousing.
• Develop and implement SRE strategy for major platforms like Lakehouse and Data Lake.
• Engage with data consumers and producers to align reliability and cost requirements.
• Manage observability, capacity, and operational accountability across platform lifecycles.
• Handle on-call rotations, postmortems, and data-driven strategy with ownership.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's in Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, Engineering, or related field
• 1-4+ years relevant experience in team environment; 1-2 years hands-on development
• Understanding of DevOps, SRE principles, automation, and risk management
• Experience with cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
• Deep knowledge of data quality, curation, SQL databases, and data warehousing concepts
• Proven ability to drive data strategy and strong analytical/problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication to collaborate with business and engineering teams

Nice to have

• Understanding of Data Lake/Lakehouse technologies like Apache Iceberg
• Experience with cloud databases (Snowflake, BigQuery)
• Knowledge of data modeling and open-source tools (AWS Lambda, Prometheus)
• Coding experience in Java or Python
