What you will do

• Develop object storage systems, code, and automation for scaling deployments and operations.
• Engineer resilient storage systems, develop test automation for reliability, security, scale, and performance.
• Bootstrap new storage systems and collaborate with cross-functional teams on regional services.
• Provide incident response, on-call support, and troubleshoot production services using deep service topology knowledge.
• Perform capacity planning, collect system data for monitoring and availability metrics.
• Adhere to change management, support new product introductions, and decommission legacy systems.

Requirements

• Senior level software development proficiency to develop systems, automation, and debug production systems
• Strong proficiency in Java, Python, Shell scripting
• Expertise in Linux internals, advanced system administration, performance tuning
• Willingness to participate in a 24/7 on-call schedule with customer notifications and escalations
• Deep understanding of networking protocols
• Real-world experience with production architectures, scalability, cloud computing, and storage design
• Strong methodical troubleshooting of large, complex systems
• Familiar with change management, CI/CD best practices
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or related field
