What you will do

• Design, develop, and ship high-quality technical solutions that scale across multiple hirify.global services.
• Enable teams to build reliable services by providing standards, SDKs, and paved paths for instrumentation, alerting, and SLOs.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and observability vendors like Datadog, Sentry, and Azure Monitor.
• Provide technical leadership, mentorship, and conduct code reviews to foster engineering growth.
• Write architecture briefs and build prototypes to achieve planetary scale for system observability.
• Own system health and participate in on-call and first responder rotations.

Requirements

• 6+ years of experience in Software Engineering or a related technical discipline (or equivalent degree/experience).
• Proficiency in production coding with languages such as Go, Ruby, Python, Java, or C++.
• 2+ years of experience instrumenting distributed systems with OpenTelemetry or similar frameworks.
• 2+ years of proficiency with observability platforms (Datadog, Grafana, etc.) focusing on querying, alerting, and data modeling.
• 2+ years of experience with cloud-native and distributed architectures.
• Must be based in the United States.

• Experience working on a platform engineering or SRE team.
• Proven track record of improving observability practices across engineering teams.
• Strong customer focus for troubleshooting availability issues and mitigating observability gaps.
