Quality Engineer (Manufacturing)

What you will do

• Develop and initiate standards and methods for inspection, testing, and evaluation.
• Plan and conduct analysis and integration to ensure the quality of assigned products or components.
• Establish programs to evaluate the precision and accuracy of production and analytical equipment.
• Perform quality engineering reviews of design documentation for compliance with company and vendor requirements.
• Apply Statistical Process Control (SPC) methods to analyze data and evaluate process changes.
• Review purchased components and provide critical input for vendor selection and acceptance.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree (B.S.) in a related field.
• 10-15 years of directly related experience and/or training.
• Must be able to work on-site in Hunt Valley, MD.
• Working knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, 6 Sigma, and Kaizen.
• General knowledge of Microsoft Office and Quality Software.
• Ability to travel domestically and internationally (approximately 5%).

Nice to have

• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Pivot Tables, and coding.
• Lead Auditor Certification for ISO9001/AS9100.
• Experience with CMM machines, Keyence Machine, and Optical Comparator.
