Quality Control Technician

Salary: $55,000 - $65,000 a year

What you will do

• Perform visual and dimensional inspections on incoming and internally manufactured products.
• Read and interpret component drawings, material specifications, process specifications, and work instructions.
• Record inspection and test data and maintain detailed lot traceability records.
• Evaluate test data and report deviations from standards using the nonconformance reporting system.
• Manage the calibration control process for tools and equipment.
• Develop and write detailed Inspection Plans and Work Instructions.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED; vocational or technical training is preferred.
• 3-5 years of directly related experience in a manufacturing and assembly environment.
• Knowledge of and experience working within ISO 9001 / AS9100 Quality Management Systems.
• Proficiency with measurement devices including micrometers, calipers, height gages, and CMM.
• Ability to apply basic mathematical skills and Statistical Process Control (SPC) methods.
• Proficiency in MS Word and Excel.

Nice to have

• Experience with Government project work.
