What you will do

• Lead and conduct prompt, impartial investigations into employee concerns, policy violations, and misconduct.
• Partner with People Business Partners and leaders to assess risk and determine appropriate corrective actions.
• Serve as a trusted advisor and coach for managers on conflict resolution, sensitive conversations, and performance issues.
• Ensure strict adherence to employment laws and company policies in close collaboration with internal and external legal counsel.
• Develop ER analytics and identify patterns to provide trend-based insights that reduce organizational risk.
• Support culture initiatives and create manager resources and toolkits for performance management.

Requirements

• Must be based in or be able to work hybrid in Gaithersburg, MD.
• 5+ years of progressive experience in Employee Relations, HR Business Partnering, or a related HR function.
• Proven ability to manage a high-volume ER caseload, including complex investigations and termination matters.
• Strong knowledge of employment laws, regulations, and HR best practices.
• High level of discretion and ability to handle sensitive, confidential information.
• Strong coaching and influencing skills to guide leadership and manage stakeholder expectations.
