Senior Business Systems Analyst, CRM (Salesforce)

Location: Alameda, California, United States; on-site work required. Business travel of 5%–10% is expected.

Annual base salary: $132,000–$200,000.

What you will do

• Partner with Sales, Sales Operations, Marketing, Customer Service, and Field Inventory teams to translate business needs into scalable Salesforce capabilities and process improvements.
• Lead requirements analysis and solution design across Salesforce Sales Cloud, Marketing Cloud, Life Sciences Cloud, and connected commercial platforms.
• Improve lead, account, opportunity, quoting, territory management, sales engagement, reporting, and field inventory workflows.
• Analyze current-state and future-state processes, define user stories and acceptance criteria, and document process maps, business rules, and functional specifications.
• Collaborate with administrators, developers, architects, integration teams, QA, vendors, and business stakeholders through design, testing, deployment, and stabilization.
• Support Salesforce configuration, Flow automation, dashboards, analytics, Data Cloud, Agentforce, and AI-enabled workflows.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, or a related field, with 7+ years of experience as a Business Systems Analyst working with cloud-based CRM platforms, or equivalent experience.
• Strong experience supporting Salesforce-based CRM platforms in commercial or customer-facing environments.
• Strong knowledge of Salesforce Sales Cloud and familiarity with Marketing Cloud and/or Life Sciences Cloud.
• Understanding of Salesforce data and security models, role hierarchies, Lightning pages, page layouts, reports, dashboards, and Flow.
• Experience with requirements gathering, process mapping, user stories, acceptance criteria, stakeholder facilitation, and cross-functional solution delivery.
• Basic to medium-complexity SQL skills and familiarity with integrations, ERP, MDM, quoting/CPQ, analytics, or related enterprise systems.

Nice to have

• Exposure to Data Cloud, Agentforce, AI-enabled workflows, Tableau, Salesforce Analytics, CRMA, or Power BI.
• Experience with Field Inventory Management, consignment, replenishment, scanning, reconciliation, or related operational workflows.
• Experience in medical devices, pharmaceuticals, biotechnology, or another regulated industry.
• Salesforce Administrator, Scrum/Agile, or PMP certification.
• Experience with SAP, Adobe Marketo, Showpad, cVent, Microsoft Dynamics, or similar commercial applications.
