What you will do

• Establish 5-year operating plan and build infrastructure to scale affordable housing acquisitions.
• Oversee full acquisition process: sourcing deals, managing due diligence, reviewing reports, and coordinating closings with legal and finance teams.
• Prepare market analyses, underwriting models, and deal summaries for recommended opportunities.
• Develop relationships with brokers, developers, lenders, and third-party managers in target markets.
• Attend industry conferences and collaborate with acquisition team in a team-oriented environment.

Requirements

• 5-10 years of real estate acquisition and underwriting experience.
• Deep knowledge of federal affordable housing programs (LIHTC, HAP) and legacy programs, plus tax and financing alternatives.
• Established relationships with regional third-party management companies and investment sale brokers.
• College degree in real estate, business, finance, or accounting; advanced degree preferred.
• Strong quantitative, analytical, verbal, and written communication skills; ability to assess deal viability quickly.
• Travel required; team player in collaborative, deadline-driven environment.
