Salary: $204,000 - $255,000 USD (Tier 1 markets: NYC/SF/Seattle); geographic pay differential for other U.S. locations.

What you will do

• Serve as strategic partner to Engineering and Product leaders, aligning HR initiatives with business goals.
• Lead workforce planning, talent development, and organizational design in collaboration with People team.
• Act as primary contact for employee concerns, identifying trends and driving actionable strategies.
• Improve engagement through proactive outreach and inclusive culture-building initiatives.
• Support performance management, compensation reviews, benefits, and company-wide programs.
• Ensure compliance with employment laws, mediate conflicts, and manage audits/documentation.
• Analyze people data to provide recommendations and track departmental trends.
• Collaborate with Talent Acquisition on hiring, leveling, and onboarding.

Requirements

• 7+ years in Human Resources; 3+ years as strategic business partner.
• Experience in scaling startups supporting fast-paced technical teams (Engineering/Product preferred).
• Strategic thinking for organizational improvements and cross-functional projects.
• Expert project management, detail-oriented with strong prioritization skills.
• People analytics skills using Excel/Google Sheets for insights.
• Highly relational, collaborative, with presentation skills for large groups.
