What you will do

• Oversee planning, discovery workshops, and implementation of platform modernization projects.
• Manage cross-functional teams and multiple government agency stakeholders for effective collaboration.
• Define project scope, plans, schedules, and monitor progress against milestones.
• Identify risks, implement mitigation strategies, and handle change management.
• Ensure compliance with federal/state IT governance, security, and data standards.
• Facilitate meetings, status reporting, training, and user adoption for live system transitions.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, or related field.
• 8+ years in IT project management, including 3+ years in senior/lead role on large-scale projects.
• Proven success delivering complex public sector or enterprise IT projects.
• Strong knowledge of SDLC and methodologies like PMP, Agile/Scrum.
• Exceptional stakeholder management, communication, vendor management, and cross-functional team leadership.
• Solid risk management, problem-solving, and decision-making in high-visibility projects.

Nice to have

• PMP or CSM certification.
• Experience with state government transformations or permitting systems.
• Familiarity with environmental permitting, regulatory compliance, or federal digital initiatives.
• Knowledge of Agile frameworks, DevSecOps, and tools like Jira, Microsoft Project.
• Change management or OCM experience on IT rollouts.
