What you will do

• Own end-to-end production test processes and gating criteria from incoming inspection through final shipment.
• Design and operate robot provisioning flows, including imaging, firmware deployment, configuration, and validation.
• Manage key production metrics such as First Pass Yield (FPY), cycle time, and test coverage to drive continuous improvements.
• Architect and maintain automated test frameworks, harnesses, and test rigs at the contract manufacturer (CM) site.
• Lead root-cause analysis (RCA) for field and production failures, coordinating corrective actions with design and firmware teams.
• Serve as the onsite technical authority at the contract manufacturer, training operators and debugging line failures.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in production/test engineering for complex electro-mechanical products (robotics, medical devices, or consumer electronics).
• Proven experience owning E2E production test processes and provisioning at a contract manufacturer.
• Hands-on expertise with firmware provisioning and validation for sensors (cameras, LiDAR, IMU) and compute platforms.
• Strong debugging skills across hardware, firmware, and system software.
• Data-driven mindset with experience in statistical process control and KPI reporting.
• Must be able to work onsite full-time at a contract manufacturer in the Milwaukee, WI area.

Nice to have

• Experience with robotics stacks such as ROS and robotic sensor calibration.
• Familiarity with Python, pytest, LabVIEW, and CI for embedded systems.
• Experience provisioning large fleets, including device identity and secure image signing.
