Field Commissioning Engineer (Robotics)

Location: On-site in Atlanta, Georgia; Fort Worth, Texas; or Dallas, Texas, United States. The role requires frequent travel, generally on-site for approximately three weeks each month and up to 100% of working hours.

What you will do

• Integrate hirify.global products with third-party systems at customer warehouses, distribution centers, and fulfillment sites.
• Participate in commissioning activities and validate system functionality, reliability, and performance.
• Plan, coordinate, execute, and refine system validation tests and test plans.
• Configure and improve software used in deployed automation systems.
• Troubleshoot software, mechanical, electrical, and networking issues across the full solution.
• Communicate with customers, document project status and risks, and coordinate with the Atlanta-based team.

Requirements

• At least one year of experience commissioning robotic systems or equipment, ideally in industrial automation, material handling, warehousing, or logistics.
• Experience with frequent travel in field service, commissioning, consulting, construction, or similar work.
• Bachelor’s degree in mechatronics, robotics, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, or a related field.
• Working knowledge across software, mechanical, and electrical engineering, including hands-on troubleshooting and software configuration.
• Professional communication skills and the ability to manage customer interactions and de-escalate challenging situations.
• Ability to work on-site, travel regularly, use hand tools and lifts, work at heights up to 50 feet, lift up to 50 pounds, and perform crawling, kneeling, reaching, and other physically demanding activities.

Nice to have

• Working knowledge of AutoCAD for reading and minor edits.
• Familiarity with Python, Node-RED, or Linux.
• Experience with Git or GitHub.
• Experience with complex automation or robotics systems and creating test plans or validation procedures.
