What you will do

• Serve as technical leader for medical device firmware development and engineering team
• Design, code, unit test, and debug embedded applications in C/C++ for bare metal or RTOS
• Integrate firmware with microcontrollers (ARM, PIC32), peripherals (SPI, I2C, UART, USB), and wireless tech (BLE, Wi-Fi, GNSS, Cellular)
• Read schematics, use EE lab equipment for PCB bring-up, hardware/firmware debugging
• Conduct code reviews, apply secure coding standards, deliver documentation and testable code
• Assist in software verification, QA procedures, and FDA-regulated processes (IEC 62304)

Requirements

• Bachelor’s in electrical/computer engineering or equivalent
• 4+ years experience, including 1+ years in medical device development
• Experience with Git, Jira, UML, systems thinking, and modern software practices
• Work with COTS software provisioning and supplier management

Nice to have

• Proven C/C++ firmware engineering
• RTOS, Bare Metal, Linux, Python scripting
• DSP, cybersecurity practices, test-driven development, Agile/Scrum
• Collaboration with Electrical Engineering
