What you will do

• Design, develop, and debug embedded software for driving Photonic ICs and firmware for embedded microcontrollers.
• Analyze board schematics and triage low-level digital circuits.
• Utilize test and measurement equipment, including oscilloscopes and logic analyzers.
• Perform code reviews and provide feedback to ensure industry best practices.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and validate test requirements.
• Contribute to and adapt technical documentation based on changing requirements.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master’s in electrical engineering or equivalent practical work experience.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience with embedded microcontrollers, specifically ARM.
• Expertise in C/C++ programming for embedded systems and strong understanding of OOP concepts.
• Demonstrated ability to debug complex hardware/software interaction issues using schematics and datasheets.
• Comprehensive knowledge of OS coding techniques, IP protocols, interfaces (I2C, SPI), and hardware subsystems.
• Location: Must be based in New Providence, NJ

Nice to have

• Experience with software development of medium-sized Python packages.
• Experience with RTOS such as Zephyr.
• Proficiency with development tools: CMake, VSCode, Git, JIRA, and Confluence.
