Sr. Systems Engineer (Cloud Infrastructure)

Location: Los Angeles, California; structured hybrid with at least three days per week in the office

What you will do

• Design and maintain scalable infrastructure across cloud and on-premises environments.
• Automate system provisioning, configuration management, monitoring, and operational workflows.
• Optimize the performance and availability of compute, storage, networking, and enterprise systems.
• Lead infrastructure incident response and root cause analysis.
• Support CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure-as-code initiatives.
• Collaborate with engineering, DevOps, and InfoSec teams, mentor junior engineers, and participate in on-call rotations.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in systems engineering or infrastructure operations.
• Expertise in Kubernetes, Linux administration, and cloud operations.
• Experience with cloud platforms, with Azure preferred.
• Experience with GitOps, Ansible, Terraform, and scripting in Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
• Knowledge of container orchestration, service mesh technologies, monitoring, logging, security best practices, and compliance standards such as PCI DSS and SOC 2.
• Must be able to work in the United States without current or future visa sponsorship and meet the Los Angeles location requirement.

• Experience in fintech or regulated enterprise environments.
• Familiarity with hybrid cloud architectures and enterprise networking.
• Contributions to open-source infrastructure tools or technical publications.
• Strong communication and documentation skills for cross-team collaboration.
