TL;DR

Revenue Manager (Revenue Accounting): Overseeing the entire revenue recognition cycle, ensuring compliance with ASC 606, and leading process improvements and system implementations with an accent on technical expertise in revenue operations. Focus on managing month-end closes, analyzing partnership contracts, and developing revenue reporting metrics for scalability and accuracy.

Location: Hybrid role based out of San Francisco office, requiring two days in-office per week (Tuesdays & Wednesdays).

Salary: $120,000 - $140,000 base pay.

What you will do

  • Lead daily operations of Revenue Accounting, including month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities.
  • Mentor junior staff and collaborate with Product, Data, Operations, and FP&A teams for accurate revenue reporting and forecasting.
  • Manage end-to-end revenue process from contract review to billing and reconciliation, ensuring ASC 606 compliance.
  • Analyze contracts for revenue recognition treatment and oversee commissions calculations.
  • Identify process improvements and lead ERP system implementations for revenue modules.
  • Develop revenue reporting metrics and dashboards for management.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • 6+ years in accounting, with 4+ years in technical revenue recognition.
  • Deep knowledge of ASC 606; experience in technology/SaaS preferred.
  • Experience with Netsuite, Tipalti, Ramp; advanced Excel/Google Sheets for large data reconciliation.

Nice to have

  • Exceptional communication and project leadership skills.
  • Supervisory experience and SOX compliance knowledge.
