TL;DR

Manager, Revenue Accounting (SaaS): Own and evolve global revenue accounting function, leading month-end/quarter-end closes, contract reviews, and revenue recognition for public-company readiness with an accent on complex arrangements, compliance, and scalable processes. Location: United States (remote-friendly, globally distributed company operating in 20 countries)

Salary: $150,000 - $180,000 USD ($165,000 - $210,000 USD in premium markets like San Francisco Bay Area and New York City Metro Area)

What you will do

  • Lead month-end and quarter-end revenue close processes, including contract review, recognition, reconciliations, and reporting.
  • Partner with Sales, Legal, and Finance to review contracts and ensure proper revenue treatment for complex SaaS arrangements.
  • Maintain and enhance revenue recognition policies, procedures, and internal controls for pre-IPO scalability.
  • Oversee deferred revenue and accounts receivable reconciliations for accurate financials.
  • Collaborate with FP&A and Sales Ops on revenue forecasts and analyses.
  • Drive process improvements with AI adoption, automation, and system integrations; support audits, new SKUs, and product launches.

Requirements

  • 6+ years progressive accounting experience, including 2+ years in revenue accounting at a SaaS/technology company
  • CPA required; Big Four experience strongly preferred
  • Deep knowledge of U.S. GAAP and ASC 606 revenue recognition standards
  • Experience with revenue tools/ERPs like NetSuite, Zuora, Salesforce CPQ
  • Proven management of revenue close in global high-growth settings
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills; Bachelor’s in Accounting/Finance or related
  • Experience designing internal controls for audit readiness and SOX compliance
