What you will do

• Identify underutilized legal authorities for novel AGI risks.
• Analyze legal gaps and prioritize defenses under specific scenarios.
• Research federal executive, legislative, and state policy interventions.
• Analyze emergency preparedness deficits and ideate structural solutions.
• Craft holistic recommendations for prevention, mitigation, and crisis responses.
• Research realpolitik and judicial dynamics for interventions.

Requirements

• J.D. plus 3+ years in law/policy research/bill craft, or masters plus 5+ years legal research
• Proficient in legal research technologies.
• Experience in federal policymaking, judicial dynamics, policy research/analysis/strategy, state policymaking, or lobbying.
• Experience in security mindset, catastrophic risk policy, emergency preparedness, crisis management, CBRN+C, natsec, AI governance/safety, game theory, or similar.
• Track record managing multiple concurrent tasks to deadlines with minimal supervision.
