TL;DR
Director of Sales - Public Sector/SLED (Higher Education Focus): Drive net-new revenue within Public Sector Higher Education institutions across Upper Midwest with an accent on qualifying hyperscaler-generated leads and closing mid-market opportunities. Focus on building strategic relationships across campus buying centers and establishing repeatable Higher Education sales motion.
Location: Remote (#LI-Remote), Primary Territory: Minnesota and Wisconsin (preferred), also Chicago, Detroit, broader North Midwest region
Base Salary: $75,000 – $80,000 (target earnings up to $250,000 with commissions)

What you will do
- Drive net-new revenue within Public Sector Higher Education institutions across Upper Midwest
- Qualify and convert hyperscaler-generated leads (AWS, Microsoft, Google) into active pipeline
- Build strategic relationships across campus buying centers including police departments, enrollment operations, IT leadership
- Close mid-market opportunities ranging from $500K - $1M
- Collaborate with solution consultants and partners to position CX, CCaaS, AI, cloud solutions
- Leverage Midwest relationships to expand into university systems and state-level engagement
Requirements
- 2–5 years of sales experience OR Higher Education operational background with commercial aptitude
- Experience working with or selling alongside major cloud platforms (AWS, Microsoft, Google)
- Strong relationship-building and pipeline management skills
- Ability to navigate complex university ecosystems and engage senior stakeholders
- Coachable mindset with intellectual curiosity and executive presence
- Sales instincts and stakeholder fluency

- Campus police department, Higher Education IT, administrative, or enrollment operations experience
