Location: Palo Alto, CA or New York City, NY (Open to US-based Remote); occasional travel to Bay Area or New Jersey data centers.

Salary: $145,000 - $185,000 plus equity and discretionary bonus.

What you will do

• Maintain core infrastructure by automating application deployments, configurations, and critical services like databases.
• Triage and fix operational issues in Linux environments as on-call engineer, participate in post-mortems, and implement preventive improvements.
• Design, implement, and deploy internal tools and services to boost engineering team productivity and enable end-to-end ownership.
• Manage server hardware in physical data centers, including occasional onsite projects.
• Contribute to key decisions on infrastructure evolution.

Requirements

• BS or MS in Computer Science or Engineering field.
• Experience running and troubleshooting modern Linux systems and services in production.
• 2+ years developing reliable production-grade software in Java, Go, or similar.
• Proficiency with automation tools like Terraform, Chef, or Puppet.
• Experience designing and deploying mission-critical complex distributed systems.
• Strong critical thinking and communication skills.
