Senior DevOps Engineer (AWS)

Location: Remote within the United States only; all work must be performed from the United States. Core hours are 9am–5pm Eastern Time, with flexibility to start earlier or work later depending on time zone. Approximately 5% travel is required.

Salary: $108,476–$184,409 per year

What you will do

• Implement and operate cloud-based AWS solutions using infrastructure as code.
• Deploy and manage AWS services and infrastructure configurations with Terraform.
• Build and optimize automation for application and infrastructure environments.
• Develop, maintain, and improve CI/CD pipelines across development, integration, and production environments.
• Integrate CI/CD tools, open-source plugins, testing, and security scanning capabilities.
• Implement CloudWatch and other monitoring solutions for infrastructure, application performance, errors, and system metrics.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree.
• At least 3 years of experience building CI/CD pipelines and working in DevOps, Agile, and Scrum environments.
• At least 5 years of hands-on experience with AWS configuration management, cloud orchestration, infrastructure provisioning, and automation.
• At least 5 years of experience writing infrastructure as code with Terraform.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Federal Public Trust clearance.
• Must reside in the United States, have authorization to work in the United States, perform all work within the United States, and have lived in the United States for at least 3 of the last 5 years.

Nice to have

• Working knowledge of Linux.
• Experience with Splunk or similar monitoring and dashboarding services.
• Knowledge of AWS multi-account architecture, Control Tower, SCPs, GuardRails, and Transit Gateways.
• AWS Solutions Architect certification.
• Familiarity with NIST, FISMA, FedRAMP, Common Criteria, MLOps, and machine learning lifecycle tools.
