What you will do

• Lead and grow a team of data scientists and engineers developing ML models for behavioral anomaly detection in large-scale network data.
• Drive research, evaluation, and operationalization of models, including data pipelines and monitoring systems.
• Set standards for experimental design, model validation, and technical direction for production ML infrastructure.
• Collaborate with Product Management and Security Research to integrate ML into detection signals and improve SOC workflows.
• Mentor senior contributors, represent ML strategy to leadership, and stay ahead of ML research advances.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s in Computer Science, Statistics, ML or related; advanced degree preferred.
• 5+ years leading applied ML or ML engineering teams delivering production systems.
• Strong ML, statistics background; experience with experimental design, model evaluation, and production ML systems.
• Work with large-scale telemetry, time-series, or behavioral data; partner with product experts for user value.
• Technical judgment for architecture; mentoring seniors; exceptional communication for cross-functional audiences.
• Consistent attendance and accountability.

Nice to have

• Network security, NDR experience; familiarity with threat detection tools.
• ML on AWS; containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Compliance like FedRAMP/NIST; AWS certifications.
• Threat detection and incident response knowledge.
