Software Engineering Manager - Core (FED) (Cybersecurity): Managing a distributed team to build shared infrastructure and backend frameworks for identity products with an accent on resilience, scalability, and high availability. Location: Hybrid (San Francisco, CA). Must be a U.S. Person (Citizen, National, Lawful Permanent Resident, Refugee, or Asylee).
Salary: $204,000 — $255,000

What you will do
- Manage a distributed team, including setting expectations, removing blockers, and providing coaching and career management.
- Collaborate with architects, product owners, and security engineers to implement resilience best practices.
- Contribute to the strategic direction and roadmap for the Core Engineering team.
- Develop and scale backend frameworks and tools used across the entire engineering organization.
- Lead the incident RCA process to continuously improve reliability and system scale.
- Drive the evaluation, development, and rollout of new cloud-native services.
Requirements
- Prior management experience leading distributed and diverse teams.
- Strong experience in software architecture across the stack, including monoliths and microservices.
- Hands-on experience with Cloud Infrastructure (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
- Solid understanding of the Java platform and experience with SaaS.
- Proficiency with datastores (SQL, NoSQL) and containers (Docker, K8s).
- Must be able to submit documentation establishing U.S. Person status upon hire.

- Experience with Golang.
- Knowledge of network security, authentication, and authorization.
