Senior Manager, Government Relations (Europe)

What you will do

• Develop and execute public policy strategies aligned with business objectives at EU, member countries, and UK levels.
• Build and maintain relationships with policymakers, regulators, industry groups, NGOs, and think tanks.
• Monitor legislative developments and advise leadership on policy risks and opportunities.
• Collaborate with internal teams to align policy with company strategy; navigate time zones.
• Engage economic development organizations to support corporate objectives.
• Communicate complex policy and technology issues to diverse audiences; develop policy papers.

Requirements

• 8+ years experience working with European Commission on technology policy
• Strong knowledge of European government operations, advocacy, public consultations, and trade agreements
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
• Proven ability to build relationships with government stakeholders and influencers
• Executive communication, negotiation, and leadership skills
• Analytical skills to translate technical topics for non-technical audiences
• English essential; German or Italian desired

Nice to have

• Experience with UK Parliament on technology policy
• Familiarity with quantum computing, AI/ML, or high-performance computing
• Background in technology and trade policy for publicly traded company
