What you will do

  • Serve as the primary contact for mayors, local councils, and community leaders.
  • Design and lead community investment programs, including STEM educational partnerships.
  • Collaborate with site leads to navigate local zoning, building permits, and environmental assessments.
  • Facilitate partnerships for excess heat utilization projects with local industries.
  • Represent the company at town hall meetings and industry forums.
  • Monitor local policy developments related to power grid access and data center strategies.

Requirements

  • Native-level proficiency in Norwegian (written and spoken) is required.
  • Professional proficiency in English.
  • 8+ years of experience in community relations, public affairs, or regional development.
  • Deep understanding of the Norwegian political system.
  • Degree in Political Science, Law, Public Administration, or Communications.
  • Proven ability to find win-win solutions balancing commercial needs with community concerns.

Nice to have

  • Understanding of the Norwegian power market (Statnett, RME).
  • Pre-existing relationships with the Ministry of Local Government and Regional Development or Innovasjon Norge.
  • Experience managing community pushback or local media crises.
  • Familiarity with ESG reporting and sustainability targets.
