TL;DR
Sales Engineer - Data Security (Cybersecurity): Partner with sales managers to deliver product demonstrations, technical presentations, and solution proposals for enterprise data security with an accent on mapping customer challenges to solutions. Focus on leading Proof of Concept engagements, architecting tailored solutions, and providing expertise in data security, privacy, and compliance.
Location: Must be based in Tokyo, relocation sponsorship is not available. Overnight travel throughout the region is required.

What you will do
- Partner with Regional Sales Managers for compelling demos, presentations, and proposals.
- Articulate benefits of data security solutions to technical and non-technical audiences.
- Map customer business drivers, requirements, and security challenges to solutions.
- Lead Proof of Concept deployments, configurations, training, and issue resolution.
- Provide reporting and feedback to Sales, Product Management, and Engineering.
- Enable partners for self-sufficiency and drive partner-led opportunities.
- Expand customer implementations of products.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
- 5+ years pre-sales experience in computer networking or security.
- Preference for English proficiency (Eiken Pre-1+, TOEIC 800+).
- Excellent knowledge of IT technologies: Web Proxy, Malware Analysis, Forensics, Email Security, Incident Response, Sandboxing, Network Engineering, Network Security, Enterprise Architecture, Virtualization.
- Overnight travel throughout the region required.
Nice to have
- Security certifications (ISC2, GIAC, IPA).
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Knowledge of competitors and hacking tools/methodologies.
