Lead Software Engineer, Azure Solutions

Location: Remote in the United States; listed location Austin, TX

Salary: $170,000–$200,000 per year, plus eligibility for an annual incentive program.

What you will do

• Lead medium-scale client engagements, requirements elicitation, solution design, scoping, and project delivery.
• Decompose requirements and user stories into tasks, estimate effort, and delegate technical work across multiple workstreams.
• Provide technical leadership and mentoring while coordinating onshore and offshore project resources.
• Identify risks and impediments, evaluate proposed solutions, and drive mitigation with project teams and leadership.
• Collaborate with sales and delivery on client proposals, presentations, and business development opportunities.
• Advise and present to technical and non-technical client stakeholders on architecture, design implications, and solution options.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of Agile delivery experience and 5 years leading consulting projects for large clients.
• Expertise across at least three areas including Azure Compute, data stores, messaging and events, API design, integration, AI and search, DevOps, scalability, identity, monitoring, or technical leadership.
• Expertise across at least four tools or technologies including architectural concepts, .NET Core, C#, frontend frameworks, data storage, CI/CD, IaC, Git, automated testing, or Scrum/Kanban.
• Experience contributing to user stories and backlog content, task management, and progress visibility.
• Four or more Microsoft Azure application development, DevOps, AI and machine learning, or architecture and development certifications; AZ-204, AZ-102, and AZ-400 are recommended.
• Strong client presentation skills and a proactive approach to continuous learning and certification.
