Federal Solutions Architect (Growth & Capture)

Location: Hybrid in Rockville, Maryland; candidates must reside within the DMV area and be available for onsite meetings and collaboration.

Salary: $150,000–$180,000 per year, with possible additional compensation such as bonuses.

What you will do

• Lead technical support for Federal business development, capture, opportunity qualification, and pursuit decisions.
• Design AI-enabled, cloud-based, secure, scalable, and cost-effective solutions using AWS, Azure, automation, and advanced analytics.
• Develop solution architectures, ConOps, diagrams, transition plans, implementation approaches, and technology roadmaps.
• Lead technical proposal development, technical volumes, solution narratives, staffing approaches, and Basis of Estimate inputs.
• Develop technical win themes, discriminators, modernization strategies, proofs of concept, demonstrations, and reusable solution accelerators.
• Collaborate with capture, business development, proposal, pricing, executive, customer, and partner stakeholders.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in Federal business development, capture, proposal, or solution architecture within a government contracting environment.
• Experience supporting Federal competitive procurements from opportunity qualification through proposal submission, including RFIs, RFQs, and RFPs.
• Strong knowledge of cloud technologies including AWS and/or Microsoft Azure, plus AI/ML tools and solutions.
• Experience creating solution architectures, technical approaches, diagrams, technical proposal content, staffing approaches, labor mixes, and cost-informed strategies.
• Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to technical and non-technical audiences and collaborate across capture, pricing, proposal, and business development teams.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance.

Nice to have

• Experience winning Federal Government opportunities with capture or proposal teams.
• Experience supporting CMS, VA, HHS, USDA, or other Federal agencies.
• Familiarity with Shipley capture methodologies and Federal proposal best practices.
• Experience with customer-facing solution workshops, technical demonstrations, oral presentations, and pre-proposal shaping.
• Master’s degree in a related field.
