TL;DR

Manager, Operations Maintenance (Medtech): Lead equipment maintenance programs for manufacturing facilities in cardiac health devices with an accent on reliability, compliance, and uptime. Focus on developing PM schedules, root-cause analysis for line-downs, regulatory adherence (FDA, ISO 13485), and cross-functional collaboration to minimize disruptions and optimize spare parts inventory.

On-site in Orange County, CA; regular presence on manufacturing floor required.

Salary: $100,000 - $130,000

What you will do

  • Lead maintenance team to ensure peak reliability of manufacturing and facility equipment with minimal production disruption.
  • Oversee PM programs, scheduling, execution, and response to line-down situations with root-cause recovery.
  • Monitor KPIs, analyze trends, predict failures, and manage spare parts inventory with Supply Chain and Engineering.
  • Collaborate with Manufacturing, Quality, Facilities, and Regulatory teams for alignments, audits, and new equipment installs.
  • Drive continuous improvement using Lean/Six Sigma, automate monitoring, and manage department budgets.
  • Mentor technicians, provide training, feedback, and foster safety/compliance culture.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations Management, or related field.
  • 10+ years operations maintenance experience; minimum 3 years management with direct reports.
  • Experience managing CMMS tools and modern maintenance systems.
  • Deep knowledge of medical device processes, ISO 13485, FDA 21 CFR Part 820, and Lean methodologies.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and cross-functional leadership skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).

  • Experience in medical device or regulated industry.
