TL;DR
Sr. Accountant (Workday Financials): Leading the functional design, configuration, and validation of Workday Financials modules during a transition from Oracle EBS with an accent on data integrity and process efficiency. Focus on mapping business processes, managing data migration, and establishing internal SME networks through training programs.
Location: Must be based in the USA (Hybrid in Boston or Remote elsewhere). Must be a U.S. citizen or Green Card holder; candidates under OPT, EAD, or CPT visas are not eligible.

What you will do
- Lead design sessions to define the Foundation Data Model (FDM) and configure business processes, account posting rules, and security assignments.
- Oversee the extraction, cleansing, and mapping of legacy financial data from Oracle EBS into Workday.
- Develop comprehensive test scripts and lead User Acceptance Testing (UAT) to validate financial controls and reporting accuracy.
- Design advanced financial reports and dashboards using Workday Report Writer and Composite Reports.
- Design and execute a "train-the-trainer" program to develop a network of internal, cross-functional Workday SMEs.
- Provide expert troubleshooting and support during the initial post-go-live stabilization period.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA certification is highly preferred.
- 5+ years of hands-on experience as an accountant with Workday Financials.
- Experience with at least one full lifecycle implementation.
- Deep knowledge of U.S. GAAP, FDM architecture, and Workday modules (R2R and P2P).
- Strong analytical problem-solving skills and ability to manage change among cross-functional teams.
- U.S. citizenship or Green Card holder status is mandatory.
