System Specialist (IT Infrastructure)

System Specialist (IT Infrastructure): Providing onsite IT infrastructure support and maintenance for the Fiber technology business unit with an accent on system stability, end-user support, and security compliance. Focus on managing hardware/software lifecycles, coordinating with global IT teams, and ensuring resilient network and server environments.

Location: Hybrid (Leeuwarden and Franeker, Netherlands). Must be physically located at the sites and prepared for emergency 24/7 onsite support.

What you will do

• Manage and maintain onsite IT infrastructure services.
• Provide 1st level end-user and infrastructure support for Dutch and global sites.
• Maintain workstations, office printers, barcode readers, and PDAs.
• Administer tickets and manage device lifecycles and assets.
• Implement IT security standards and organization policies.
• Coordinate with 3rd party vendors and global IT teams.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science (preferred).
• 1+ year of experience managing IT infrastructure (networks, servers, backup, AD, cybersecurity).
• Experience with ticketing tools and Microsoft O365 environment.
• Fluency in both Dutch and English (written and spoken) is required.
• Must be physically located in or able to travel between Leeuwarden and Franeker.
• Ability to provide emergency 24/7 onsite support when needed.
