TL;DR

Location: Must be based in or able to commute to Rotterdam and Roosendaal, Netherlands

What you will do

  • Install, cable, and power servers, storage, and network equipment.
  • Build and maintain cold/hot aisle containment systems for airflow optimization.
  • Execute structured copper and fiber optic cabling, including fusion splicing and OTDR analysis.
  • Configure server management interfaces and manage physical infrastructure scalability.
  • Troubleshoot Layer 1/2 connectivity issues and resolve hardware faults.
  • Document cable routes, asset data, and infrastructure changes using DCIM tools.

Requirements

  • Diploma in IT, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in both English and Dutch.
  • Valid VCA certification and basic knowledge of electrical safety standards (NEN3140).
  • Valid driver's license (B) and willingness to travel between data center sites.
  • Flexibility to work outside standard business hours and participate in stand-by rotations.

Nice to have

  • Proven experience in rack and stack and structured cabling.
  • Advanced knowledge of fiber optics (SingleMode and MultiMode).
  • Strong diagnostic skills in physical and data link layer networking.
  • Previous work experience in Electrical Engineering.
