Lead Appian Developer (Appian)

Location: 100% remote within the United States; candidates must reside in the U.S. and perform the work in the U.S. The position supports a federal contract and is associated with Reston, Virginia.

Salary: $144,381–$245,448 annually for full-time employment.

What you will do

• Develop and maintain large-scale, business-critical applications using Appian BPM.
• Design and develop Appian plugins and configure application servers such as JBoss, WebLogic, and IIS.
• Configure, debug, and integrate forms, reports, business logic, and interface components.
• Work with relational databases and SQL scripting throughout the software development lifecycle.
• Translate business needs into solution architecture requirements and document technology implementations.
• Support RFIs, RFPs, prototypes, oral presentations, and certification activities for federal customer engagements.

Requirements

• 7+ years of recent hands-on experience with Appian BPM and Appian plugin development.
• 7+ years of experience with application server installation, configuration, debugging, systems integration, relational databases, and SQL scripting.
• 7+ years of experience across all phases of software development for large-scale applications using Agile methodologies.
• Bachelor's degree.
• U.S. citizenship or Green Card status is required.
• Must be able to obtain Public Trust clearance and must reside and work in the United States.

Nice to have

• Level 2 or Level 3 Appian Developer certification, Appian Tempo, or Appian Sites experience.
• Java development and Maven build experience.
• Federal government software development experience.
• Experience with enterprise application integration, SOA, ESB, n-tier architectures, and architectural documentation.
• Exposure to IBM WebSphere, Mule, LAMP/JBoss, Hadoop, Java, or Microsoft/.NET platforms.
