Supply Chain Engineer

Salary Range: $130,000 - $170,000

What you will do

• Identify sole-source components and vulnerabilities across mechanical, electrical, and RF hardware; develop and execute mitigation plans like dual sourcing or redesign.
• Interpret drawings and specs to qualify alternate sources and validate substitutions with engineering teams.
• Evaluate supplier technical capabilities, capacity, scalability, and production readiness.
• Support make/buy decisions, design reviews, and provide DFM/DFA input on supply chain constraints.
• Coordinate cross-functionally with engineering, SQE, sourcing, and manufacturing to communicate risks and tradeoffs.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s in Mechanical, Electrical, RF, or related engineering field.
• 5+ years in supply chain engineering, manufacturing engineering, or technical sourcing.
• Ability to read and interpret drawings, schematics, and technical specifications.
• Experience across mechanical, electrical, and RF hardware domains.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and supplier capabilities.

Nice to have

• Experience with RF systems, networking hardware, or complex electronics.
• Qualifying alternate components or redesigning for supply continuity.
• Familiarity with PCBAs, cables, machined parts, COTS components, and electronics.
• Experience in aerospace/defense or high-reliability environments.
• Supporting make/buy and sourcing strategy decisions.
